Karachi, the work of buying and selling water by tanker mafia from Ashirbad of Water Board continues

Karachi: In Shahr Quaid, water is allegedly being stolen from Karachi Water and Sewerage Board’s Ashirbad and sold at high prices.

According to the details, it has been revealed that the alleged mafia who steals and sells water in Karachi continues to provide facilities to the Water Corporation, in exchange for which stolen water is being sold to the citizens at high prices.

Sources say that the water-stealing mafia in Kar Achi has strengthened its grip in the city and citizens are allegedly being robbed in the name of water. The details of stealing water from Circa rehydrants are constantly being highlighted on Express News, but no action is being taken by the Water and Sewerage Board in this regard and now the reasons for this have also come to light.

Sources say that the contract of Circa re-hydrants has been awarded to favored officials for many years, the reason being that kickbacks are allegedly given and no other person gets the hydrant contract because The mafia has built a strong system.

No one else in the water corporation can stand up to the mafia. Sources say that contractors of government hydrants allegedly pay monthly bribes to senior officers of the Water Corporation and have become facilitators of the Water Corporation through other means.

Sources say that the citizens of Achi make online bookings to get tankers for which the water corporation has hired private people, who listen to the requests of the citizens and the salaries of dozens of private employees are also paid for hydrants. The contractors pay and these salaries amount to lakhs of rupees per month.

Sources say that the private contractors of the government hydrants allegedly steal water from the private employees of the Water Corporation and sell it to the citizens by turning off the meters on the hydrants at night and GPS tracking several tankers. Instead, they are selling it under the name of commercial. Due to which citizens are forced to buy water at high prices.

Sources say that Circa rehydrants are allegedly under mafia control and city water is being sold at exorbitant prices for many years but there is no stopping them. In this regard, I called MD Water Corporation Salahuddin to get a statement, but he did not receive the call.
