Young West Indian cricketer Tej Narayan Chandrapal surpassed his father Shiv Narayan Chandrapal in the third match of his career.
In the first innings of the Test played in Bulawayo against Zimbabwe, Tejnarayan Chandrapal scored a double century with a brilliant batting performance.
He and skipper Craig Braithwaite formed a magnificent opening partnership of 335 runs.
West Indies declared their innings on 447 runs in which Tejnarine Chandrapal remained not out with 207 runs.
It should be noted that with this score, he played more innings in Test cricket than his father.
It should be noted that Shivnarine Chandrapal’s biggest innings in Test cricket was 203 runs not out. He scored this score not once but twice.
Shivnarine Chandrapal played an unbeaten innings of 203 runs against South Africa in April 2005 and against Bangladesh in November 2012.
