Riyadh: The moon of the month of Shawwal 1444 Hijri was sighted in Saudi Arabia.
According to the Saudi media report, Eid al-Fitr will be held on Friday, April 21 in all Gulf countries including the kingdom.
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia appealed to the citizens to see the moon today while the central committee meeting was held to search for the moon of the month of Shawwal.
Apart from Saudi Arabia, Canada and America will also celebrate Eid on Friday, while in Malaysia, Australia, Jordan many countries will celebrate the thirtieth fast on Friday and Eid on Saturday due to the absence of the moon of the month of Shawwal.
