Thomas Nicholson, the European Union’s special envoy for Afghanistan, says that they do not want to isolate Afghanistan, but they are not at the table to recognize the Taliban government.
He stressed the need for inclusive governance in Afghanistan and the protection of rights and freedoms of Afghan citizens.
Nicholson said that the Taliban’s decision to ban women from working would hurt the most vulnerable women and children in Afghanistan.
