Israeli police attacked worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque compound before sunrise, injuring 7 people.
Eyewitnesses say that the Israeli police have described the attack as a response to the riots.
According to foreign media, angry Palestinians clashed with Israeli forces in which many Palestinians were injured.
After the attack by the Israeli police, a large number of citizens, including Palestinian women and children, reached Al-Aqsa Mosque at the request of Hamas.
Israel claimed that many rockets were fired from Gaza and said that many Israeli cities were targeted by the attacks.
