Russia has filed a lawsuit against the prosecutor and judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) over the issue of an arrest warrant against Russian President Putin.
The Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow has filed a case against the ICC prosecutor and judges.
The actions of the ICC prosecutor fall under the category of crimes under Russian law. The Investigative Committee said that the allegations against President Putin have no basis.
The Russian Investigative Committee added that heads of state enjoy absolute immunity under the 1973 UN Convention.
It should be noted that Putin’s arrest warrant has been issued on the charge of war crime of sending children from Ukraine to Russia.
