Multan Sultans won the toss and decided to bat first against Lahore Qalandars in the HBL PSL 8 Qualifier.
Speaking on the occasion of the toss in this match being played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan said that he has tried to field his best team in the qualifiers.
Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said that we also wanted to bat first. Young players were given a chance in the last match.
The team of Lahore Qalandars topped the group matches with 14 points, while the team of Multan Sultans stood at the second position on the points table with 12 points and a better run average.
Mohammad Rizwan captains Multan Sultans while other players include Usman Khan, Riley Russo, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Khushdil Shah, Anwar Ali, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi, Sheldon Cottrell and Ehsanullah.
Lahore Qalandars fielding under the leadership of Shaheen Afridi consists of Fakhar Zaman, Tahir Baig, Abdullah Shafiq, Sam Billings, Hussain Talat, Sikandar Raza, David Wesa, Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan.
