New Delhi: An assistant sub-inspector of the paramilitary force, who was on security duty at the house of the director of the Intelligence Bureau, ended his life by shooting himself with an official rifle.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a 53-year-old official committed suicide at the house of the director of India’s intelligence agency IB in New Delhi due to unknown reasons.
The police said that the officer who committed suicide has been identified as Rajpar Singh, who is an officer of the Central Reserve Police Force and was on security duty at the house of Director IB.
The spokesperson of the Central Reserve Police Force says that the cause of suicide has not been determined yet. An inquiry committee has been constituted. The body was sent to the native area after post-mortem.
In India, there has been an increase in the number of suicides among military personnel due to lack of courage and mental retardation. In Occupied Kashmir alone, since 2007, around 700 officers and personnel have committed suicide in such incidents.
