A newborn baby girl’s legs were burnt in a private hospital in Tiramari area of Islamabad.
The girl’s father says that two days ago, after the normal birth of the girl, she was placed in the incubator, the temperature of the incubator increased and the girl’s legs got burnt.
The girl’s father said that to hide the negligence, the girl’s legs were bandaged and asked to come and pick up the girl after 5 days.
The father is accused of taking the girl by force and when she was examined at another private hospital, she was found to have burns.
According to PIMS officials, the victim girl has been kept in the burn department of PIMS Hospital. Doctors say that the lower part of both the legs of the girl has been severely burnt.
The doctors said that the treatment of the girl is going on, after the examination, the surgery will be decided.
According to the private hospital officials, the girl’s legs got burnt due to power failure in the rain yesterday, due to power failure, the bulb exploded and fell on the girl’s incubator and caught fire.
Officials of the private hospital said that the fire caused by falling bulb was quickly controlled and the girl was given first aid.
Officials further said that the girl’s father and family members are in touch with the doctors of Pims Hospital.
