The report regarding the irregularities in the health card was handed over to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government. According to the report, a small private hospital received Rs 3 crore for the operation under the health card. 773 operations of the same disease were also done in private hospitals.
According to the report, preference was given to a private hospital instead of a facility in a government hospital. 2602 operations were performed in Deer Bala Hospital during one year. A staggering 1826 operations were performed on the appendix. People belonging to the same family also had appendix operations.
