Decision to provide free education to 10% students of every private school

Private educational institutions across the province are bound to give freeship or scholarship to ten percent of the children.

According to the details, DG Private Institutions Sindh has issued a circular following the orders of the caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh, in which it has been directed that the students with high performance should be given compulsory freeship or scholarship.

Additional director Rafia Javed says that private educational institutions across the province are bound to give freeship or scholarship to ten percent of children, the number of students should be at least 10 percent of the total number studying in the school. Submit the report and data to the Directorate within four days following the instructions in all private schools established in their respective regions.

According to the circular, letters have also been issued to chain-on schools in this regard through separate letters to implement these orders, a report has been asked from them within four days, and the schools that do not submit the report within the stipulated period. Action will be taken against them under Section 8 of the Sindh Private Institutions Act, in which the registration of these schools will be suspended or cancelled, after which their registration will not be renewed.

Additional Director Rafia Javed says that the Director General of Private Institutions Sindh has formed five committees which will visit the schools on a daily basis and check the records of the freeships and scholarships provided to the students by the schools. If the school which violates the rules does not provide the prescribed number of freeships or scholar nights, the committee will recommend disciplinary action against that school.
