ISLAMABAD (PNP): The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced the results of the 9th and 10th grade annual examinations for 2026. Seven out of the top 10 positions were secured by female students, while no student from federal government educational institutions managed to secure a position.
Federal Minister for Education Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was the chief guest at the ceremony held to announce the results. Announcing the results, the Chairman of the Federal Board said that a total of 292,831 students appeared in the examinations this year.
A total of 86 cases of cheating were reported. As many as 1,006 examination centres were established, with 2,012 supervisory staff members and 6,996 invigilators deployed. The services of 4,855 teachers were engaged for paper checking, while 10,706 teachers had applied for the paper-checking process.
In the Science Group, Afira Ijaz secured the first position with 1,089 marks. Amina Nauman stood second with 1,088 marks, while Huzaifa Haider secured the third position with 1,086 marks.
Addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister for Education Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said he was pleased to attend the event, describing it as a ceremony that marks the beginning of a journey towards success.
He said that in today’s world, those who do not change themselves cannot progress. He added that the world would undergo even greater transformation over the next 40 years.
“Knowledge is the heritage of a believer,” the minister said, stressing that the younger generation must move forward by aligning this heritage with their traditions.
