Islamabad: The High Court has issued a written decision invalidating PTI chairman’s bail plea in the £190 million scam.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued a detailed decision, in which the court declared that after the arrest of Chairman PTI, the application for restoration of bail became ineffective, in which the trial court rejected the application for bail. It was requested to declare the decision null and void.
It has been said in the decision that on August 10, PTI Chairman’s bail application was rejected, NAB has now arrested him. Chairman PTI can file a bail application in the concerned court after arrest. Chairman PTI’s absence from the trial court was not deliberate.
The court wrote in the order that when the NAB has made an arrest, then the application for restoration of bail becomes ineffective. This Court cannot examine the legality of the arrest of Chairman PTI in this petition.
