Lahore: The High Court has extended the order to prevent the arrest of Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar.
Justice Babar Sattar of Islamabad High Court heard the petition against the MPO orders by PTI leaders Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar. During the hearing, court assistant lawyer Babar Awan could not appear, but his assistant lawyer Shaista Tabsum appeared in the court and told that Dr. Babar Awan had completed his arguments in the previous hearing.

The court summoned the Additional Attorney General regarding the application of MPO in Islamabad. Justice Babar Sattar said that the Additional Attorney General should be asked to either present arguments or submit a written reply. The court adjourned the hearing.
When the hearing resumed after a break, the Additional Attorney General appeared in the court. The court inquired as to why the federation was running away from the court, to which he replied that given some time, I would submit my submissions in writing.
The court said that since the matter was pending for 2 months, a week was enough to decide on it. Later, the court extended the order to restrain Shehryar Afridi and Shandana Gulzar from arrest in any further case till next week. The court accepted the plea and adjourned the hearing of the case till next week.
