Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Insaf’s former provincial minister Kamran Bangash was arrested by the police.
According to Express News, despite the assurance given to the Peshawar High Court by IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa not to arrest PTI leaders, the police arrested Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former provincial minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Kamran Bangash.
It is reported that Kamran Bangash was arrested from his house near Motorway Toll Plaza, action was taken on the tip-off about the presence of Kamran Bangash in the house and lady police also entered his residence during the raid.
According to the police, he has been arrested for rioting and arson on May 9. A case was registered against him in Kabuli police station for his involvement in the events of May 9.

It should be noted that three days ago on Tuesday, October 17, the Peshawar High Court had expressed its anger over the repeated arrests of PTI leaders, on which the IG and Chief Secretary KP had assured that the PTI leaders would not be arrested. If there is any issue, it will be referred to the court, but today again a leader has been arrested.
Meanwhile, the police also raided the house of PTI district leader Irfan Saleem, but Irfan Saleem escaped arrest as he was not at home.
