PIA's limited air operations continue, many flights canceled today

Karachi: Limited flight operations of the national airline are continuing, however several flights have been canceled today.

PIA continues to implement limited air operations under Plan B, while the national carrier’s two-way flights from Karachi to other cities continue to be canceled and mostly delayed today.

Flights from Karachi to Lahore, Bahawalpur Rahim Yar Khan and Quetta have been cancelled. PK 308 and PK 368 from Karachi to Islamabad were cancelled. Similarly, flights from Dammam, Muscat, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Quetta to Karachi have also been cancelled.

Apart from this, PK 319 and PK 369 from Islamabad to Karachi have also been cancelled. 4 flights from Islamabad to Sukkur and Quetta are also included in the cancellation list. Apart from this, there is a delay of 6 hours and 20 minutes in the departure of flight PK 743 from Karachi to Medina.

On the other hand, the flight PK 735 from Islamabad to Jeddah at 11 am will be delayed by 14 hours, while the flight from Multan to Madinah will depart at 12 noon with a delay of 4 hours and 25 minutes.

According to the PIA management, they are following the strategy under Plan B. PIA will operate 48 flights today, of which 32 flights will operate on the international sector while 16 flights will operate on the domestic sector.

Among PIA’s priority profitable flights, flights will operate on routes to Saudi Arabia, Gulf countries, Canada and China, Kuala Lumpur. According to management, PIA is getting fuel for flights on profitable routes. 53 crores have been paid to PSO and more payments are being made on daily basis. Avoiding operating low-class flights for business purposes.
