Lahore: Under the direction of Director General of Customs Intelligence Faiz Ahmad Chadhar, Customs Intelligence intensified its operations against smugglers, while a large network of smuggling and selling Iranian oil was caught.
35 tankers of smuggled Iranian oil were seized by conducting a grand operation against smugglers with the support of Intelligence Bureau and police. The value of smuggled diesel and petrol is more than 90 crores.
Customs Intelligence Lahore Directorate seized smuggled items worth more than 1 billion 20 crore rupees during a week in the light of reports from sensitive institutions, a large network of Iranian oil smuggling and sales was traced.

Operation was conducted at 14 dumping points in “Machi K” area of Sheikhupura, where smuggled petrol and diesel were stored and supplied to different cities.
Director Customs Intelligence Lahore Haris Ansari said in a conversation with “Express” that indiscriminate actions are being taken against smugglers based on the decisions of the Apex Committee and the directives of Director General Faiz Ahmed Chadhar.
