Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Gyanendra Singh Malik came forward on the issue of security for the high-voltage match between Pakistan and India in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2023.

He said that the threats received through e-mail are being reviewed, the police have made full preparations for the India-Pakistan match on October 14.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner further said that additional police are being deployed for traffic and other matters, more than 7 thousand police personnel are being deployed for the India-Pakistan match.
He said that 4 thousand home guards have also been hired, 4 additional and joint commissioners, 21 DCP rank officers will also be posted on the match day.
Gyanendra Singh Malik also said that security has also been requested for teams from NDRF, SDRF, which can identify chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
He said that along with this, the services of 9 bomb disposal squad and anti-drone team have also been hired, we are fully prepared for the India-Pakistan match.
