India: New world record for replicating 4 buildings from playing cards

Calcutta: A 15-year-old boy from India has set a world record for replicating four buildings in his hometown, Calcutta, using playing cards.

According to media reports, a citizen named Arnav Daga surfed for 41 days to accomplish this feat and broke the old Guinness World Record in the process.

The Indian citizen’s finished project is 40 feet long, 11 feet and 4 inches high and 16 feet and 8 inches wide, setting a new world record for the largest card structure.

Arnav Daga’s creation broke the previous record set by Byrneberg, who built a three-hotel structure out of cardboard that was 34 feet and 1 inch long, 9 feet and 5 inches high and 11 feet and 7 inches wide.

On the occasion, Arnav said that he had used around 143,000 cards to create replicas of the Writers’ Building, Shaheed Minar, Salt Lake Stadium and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
