Former president of PTI City Peshawar Irfan Saleem remained from the court room
The Chief Justice Peshawar High Court has said that the Deputy Commissioner and the police have become so powerful that they do not follow court orders.
A hearing was held in the High Court on the request for the release of former PTI City Peshawar President Irfan Salim. Arrested under 3MPO, Irfan Salim was produced in the court.
Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan remarked why the petitioner was arrested despite court orders. If the court orders are not followed, then we have no right to sit on the chair. He is arrested despite the order of the Division Bench and Chief Justice of this Court. The Deputy Commissioner and the police have become so powerful that they do not follow court orders. If we cannot follow the orders of the High Court, then we should say goodbye to the chair.
The Deputy Commissioner replied that I was not aware of the court orders, we arrested him in the new MPO order. The SSP operation sent a letter saying that the law and order situation may deteriorate and therefore arrested them.
The Chief Justice said that the court had issued clear orders and had sent a letter to the police and session judges, the deputy commissioner also threw the court orders in the trash, the deputy commissioner was also dictated by someone and he followed it. If we take action against the Deputy Commissioner and make an example of him, that is also not right because he is not standing on his own feet.
The court ordered that the chief secretary and the IG police come to the court and assure them that this will not happen in the future. If someone violates the court orders, he will not be spared. Release the applicant from here. All orders against them are quashed.
