Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that the government is taking steps to restore the economy, soon improvement will be seen.
In an interview to a private TV, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar said that they are trying to improve the affairs of governance, they are taking steps for economic recovery, the government’s measures will start showing improvement soon.
He said that under SIFC, important steps have been taken for economic recovery and agricultural sector, close attention is being paid to prevent smuggling in the border areas.
On the topic of investment, the caretaker prime minister said that the Gulf countries are willing to invest in the mineral sector, and there has been a positive discussion between the Saudi crown prince and the army chief regarding the investment.
Anwarul Haq Kakar said that Pakistan is improving its economic relations with the countries of the region. He said that the caretaker government is keeping a close eye on its expenditure, and is also looking into the problems of the pension funds.
The Caretaker Prime Minister added in his statement that our agenda is to make correct decisions instead of popular decisions, after the eighteenth amendment, the current president can remain in office until the election of a new president.
Regarding the date of the elections, he said that the Election Commission has to decide on the elections, but the elections should be held before March so that the new members of the Upper House can be elected in time.
