According to Pesco spokesperson, hundreds of poles were removed in Peshawar, Mardan, Khyber and other areas including Bannu, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 400 poles have been removed so far and fines of more than 5 million rupees have been imposed on them for electricity theft. .
According to Pesco, an application has been submitted for registration of FIR against more than 200 electricity thieves, several electricity thieves were arrested on the spot and handed over to the police.
The spokesperson of Pesco has further informed that despite the resistance of the power thieves, the operation is continuing on behalf of Pesco, security is being provided to the Pesco task forces by the district administration, Pesco users can report electricity theft by calling 118. .
