Kiwi team coach Gary Stead has assured that Kane Williamson will be included in the World Cup squad.
In a statement, Gary Stead said Williamson would be included in New Zealand’s 15-man squad for the ICC World Cup.
He said that Kane Williamson has recovered to a great extent, he is rehabbing to fully recover from the injury.
Gary Stead added that Kane Williamson is not guaranteed to feature in the first match, happy enough to be in a position to play at the World Cup.
He said that there is no focus on any single match or date for the World Cup, I guess there is still a lot of work to be done to get back on the field.
Kane Williamson suffered an injury during the IPL, New Zealand’s squad for the World Cup will be announced during the event in Auckland on September 11.
