The Supreme Court has ordered to consolidate all the super tax cases and fix them next week.
The case related to the implementation of super tax in the Supreme Court was heard by a three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
The lawyer of FBR said that the final decision of the Lahore High Court has come in the super tax case, the Lahore High Court has suspended the implementation of the decision for 60 days.
After the decision of Vakil Companies Lahore High Court, the FBR petitions have become ineffective.
Lawyer Farogh Naseem said that the court cannot order the payment of 50% super tax.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan said in his remarks that the case will be fixed next week, FBR has come with good intentions in the super tax case.
Lawyer Faisal Siddiqui said that right now I am advocating for the FBR, if the country goes bankrupt, I will also represent the federation.
Chief Justice of Pakistan said that Pakistan is not going bankrupt, everyone needs to improve themselves for the interest of the country.
While adjourning the hearing of the case till February 16, the Chief Justice asked the government to take steps to stop smuggling of foreign currency abroad.
