Elderly citizen reached Pakistan from India by drowning in flood water

Lahore: An elderly Indian citizen who was swept away by the flood waters of the Sutlej River reached Pakistan. The Indian citizen is deprived of the ability to speak and hear due to which he is unable to tell his name and region.

According to details, on Tuesday, Pakistan Rangers Punjab handed over an elderly man to the Edhi Foundation through the police in Kasur, who was reported to have reached Pakistan from India in floodwaters of Sutlej River.

On the back of the said person’s hand his name is written in Hindi which cannot be clearly read. The man gestured that he was a Hindu and a priest of Hanumanji and had come here from a long way down the river.

The Indian senior citizen appealed in gestures to be sent back to his country.

According to the sources, the photographs of the said person have been sent to Pakistan Ministry of Home Affairs along with BSF India so that the Indian Embassy can be informed about the person and his nationality can be identified.
