According to sources, the Afghanistan Cricket Board will soon announce the schedule of the series.
Afghanistan Cricket Board has consulted Sri Lanka Cricket and Pakistan Cricket Board in this regard.
Sources say that the three-match ODI series is likely to be played in Hambantota.
Afghanistan is scheduled to host Pakistan in three ODIs in the third week of August.
