Karachi: The police detained 6 suspects in the case of sexual harassment of a girl in Golestan Johar area of Shahr Quaid.
According to SSP East Zubair Nazir Shaikh, out of the 6 people who are being investigated by the police, there is more suspicion on the person who was detained from Liaquatabad because his location is also in Gulistan Johar at the time of the incident while the accused has a bad record. But it cannot be conclusively said that it is the same person seen in the CCTV footage.
He said that all the detained persons are being interrogated, yet the motorcycle has not been recovered from any of the accused.

SSP East says that innocent people will be released soon after investigation. The incident of sexually harassing the woman took place on July 3 while the video of the incident went viral on July 5.
It should be noted that on July 3, in Block 4 Hussain Hazara Goth of Golestan Johar, the obscene young man took off his knickers and attacked the girl in broad daylight and tried to rape her, which the girl resisted and failed.
After the CCTV footage of all this action of the accused came to light, Chief Minister Sindh took notice and directed the IG Sindh and Additional IG to arrest the accused immediately.
