Islamabad: Senator Mushtaq Ahmed from Jamaat-e-Islami said that if the government talks to America today, Aafia will be released in a few days.
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Senator Mushtaq Ahmed said that progress is being made in the case of Aafia Siddiqui at the international level. If the government was serious, Aafia Siddiqui would not have been in the American jail for 20 years.
He said that the key to Dr. Aafia’s release is not in Washington but in Islamabad.
Senator Mushtaq Ahmed said that the documents of civilian issues are not being provided to us, Dr. Aafia Siddiqui is living in a lot of pain, Dr. Aafia is living in the worst and notorious prison in the world.
