Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court accepted the request for exemption from the attendance of Chairman PTI in the Tosha Khana case.
In front of Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar, the Tosha Khana case was heard against Election Commission Chairman PTI, in which Chairman PTI’s lawyer Barrister Gohar and Election Commission’s lawyer Amjad Parvez appeared in the court.
During the hearing, a request was made by Chairman PTI for exemption from attendance today, which was accepted by the court and on the request of Chairman PTI’s lawyer, the hearing of the case was also adjourned till July 8.
Amjad Pervez, the lawyer of the Election Commission, while arguing in the court, said that Chairman PTI has 4 lawyers, time is being wasted. Lawyer Gohar Ali said that the Election Commission lawyers are only scoring points, to which the Election Commission lawyer replied that delaying tactics are being used by the lawyers of Chairman PTI. Their intention is not to give arguments. Khawaja Haris has no court engagements.
Later, the District and Sessions Court adjourned the hearing of the Tosha Khana case on behalf of the Election Commission till tomorrow.
