Amsterdam Dam: The municipal body of the Netherlands has banned public sexual activities on the beach, saying that ‘sunbathing’ is allowed, but sex cannot be allowed.
According to a report by The Guardian, locals in a town in the southern Netherlands started a campaign to discourage tourists from having sex on beaches and dunes, which soon became a nationwide movement.
On which the municipality banned public sex on the beaches, saying that the beaches and dunes are very important to the local community. These places have to be protected from such undesirable acts and behaviours.
The municipal body has displayed warning boards and banners prohibiting sexual acts on the beach. The organization can also take action on violation of this ban.
