The Pakistani football team is still waiting for government permission to participate in the 4-nation tournament in Mauritius and the SAFF Cup in India this month.
According to Pakistan Football Federation sources, the national team is scheduled to leave for Mauritius on June 8 from where the team will go directly to India.
The team is yet to receive the No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in both the events.
The PFF had sent all the documents to the Pakistan Sports Board in the third week of May.
Due to non-receipt of NOC, the players in the national team camp are also in a state of uncertainty and in a video message, they have appealed to the government to issue the NOC soon.
When the Pakistan Football Federation uploaded this video on its social media account, the sports board’s social media accounts responded to it.
The Pakistan Sports Board says that all federations are required to apply for NOCs 4 to 6 weeks in advance. The application for the events in Mauritius and India was received on May 23, which was incomplete, despite this. OC was written to Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of IPC on 25th May.
