Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja was met by the Secretary Election Commission, in the meeting there was a discussion about the appointment of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, the Secretary Election Commission informed about the procedure of appointment.
During the meeting, a briefing was also given on the constitutional issues related to the appointment of caretaker chief minister by the law wing.
According to the sources, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan said that the name will be finalized in the meeting today evening, all the members and officials will participate in the meeting at 6 pm.
The Chief Election Commissioner said that he will approve the nomination on merit after examining the four names carefully.
