PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also arrested

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was arrested by the police.

The PTI leader and former foreign minister was detained from Gilgit-Baltistan House in the federal capital Islamabad. According to sources, Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been arrested under 3 MPO.

It should be noted that after the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan and later his physical remand was approved by the court, the series of arrests of PTI leadership continues. Former Punjab Governor Umar Sarfaraz Cheema, PTI General Secretary Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry and Ali Zaidi among others were arrested yesterday.

On the other hand, Islamabad Police has said in its statement that arrests are being made under the threat of breach of peace against those who instigate arson and violent protests under planning.

According to the statement, Islamabad Police arrested Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Falknaz Chitrali, Musrat Jamsheed Cheema and Malika Bukhari and all the arrests have been carried out after completing the legal requirements. More arrests are expected. Avoid spreading rumors and incitement in public.

According to the police, all traffic routes in Islamabad are open. Traffic is flowing normally. All citizens are requested to respect the law. Section 245 is in force in Islamabad. Police, FC, Rangers and Pak forces are authorized to take action against those who commit any kind of illegal act. Demonstrate good citizenship and respect the law.
