Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political department of Hamas, has arrived in Makkah after many years on a visit to Saudi Arabia.
In videos circulating on social media, they can be seen performing Umrah in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
According to Turkish news agency Anadolu, Ismail Haniyeh’s delegation includes the former political head of Hamas, Khalid Meshaal.

Ismail Haniyeh arrived in Saudi Arabia on Monday at a time when Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is also in Saudi Arabia. According to reports, Mahmoud Abbas also arrived in Saudi Arabia in the past few days.

Iranian news agency Press TV has also reported the visit of the leader of Hamas to Saudi Arabia.
It is not yet clear whether there will be a meeting between Ismail Haniyeh and Mahmoud Abbas in Saudi Arabia or not.
