Iran has officially invited Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz to visit Tehran.

According to the report of the foreign news agency, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Office, Nasser Kanani, says that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi has sent an invitation to Saudi King Salman.

He said that the Iranian president has sent an invitation to the Saudi ruler in response to the invitation received from Riyadh.

It should be noted that the tension between the two countries ended after Chinese mediation, after which the two major Gulf powers also announced the restoration of their diplomatic relations, which had been suspended for years.

The Iranian News Agency says technical delegations from the two countries are preparing to reactivate their missions, with Tehran saying its diplomatic staff will resume work on May 9.
