Britain’s King Charles Swimme is the first monarch to address the Bundestag, the German parliament.
King Charles said the agony of war had once again come to Europe, with the aggression against Ukraine causing unimaginable suffering to innocent people.
He said that the security of Europe and our democratic values are also in danger.
King Charles Swim arrived in Germany on his first foreign visit since his accession to the throne.
King Charles is accompanied by his wife Queen Camilla Parker in Berlin for a three-day visit.
The King and Queen were received at the Brandenburg Gate with full military honors.
It was the first time that the Brandenburg Gate was used for a reception instead of the Presidential Palace.
Later, the royal couple went to the Presidential Palace where German President Frank Walter hosted an official banquet for them.
This is not the first time that King Charles has addressed the German parliament, he has also spoken here as a prince in November 2020.
King Charles Swim has visited Germany 40 times in his lifetime.
