Hearing on contempt petition against Zaman Park operation in High Court

Lahore: Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared in the Lahore High Court.

A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the contempt of court petition against the police operation at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park home. Imran Khan appeared before Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh.

He took a stand in the petition that the police violated the sanctity of the chador and the boundary wall, vandalized, damaged the property, violated the Zaman Park operation on March 18, violated the fundamental rights and the orders of the Lahore High Court on March 17. Violated, the court should take contempt of court action against the concerned parties.

Imran Khan reached the court secretly

Contempt of court proceedings against those who make a mockery of the judiciary

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh remarked that I will take contempt of court action against those who are making fun of the judiciary by sitting on the media. We only talk about the law.

The court directed the public prosecutor to appear with instructions related to the Zaman Park operation and sought answers from other parties including the IG Punjab. The hearing of the case was adjourned till Tuesday.

The same court heard the request to provide details of the cases filed against Imran Khan. The court ordered the government lawyers to appear before the court tomorrow with an affidavit.

Punjab government’s lack of confidence in Justice Tariq

Punjab Government’s lawyer Assistant Advocate General expressed his lack of confidence in Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh and requested to transfer the case to another court.

Security bail granted in terrorism cases

Imran Khan appeared before Justice Shehbaz Rizvi from Justice Tariq’s court for protective bail.

A two-judge bench of the High Court sought protective bail. The High Court granted Imran Khan anticipatory bail till March 27 in two terrorism cases.

Bail applications in NAB cases returned

The two-member bench, while returning Imran Khan’s applications for protective bail in NAB cases, said that there is a bench to hear NAB cases, it is appropriate that these applications should be heard by the relevant bench.

Imran Khan has applied for protective bail in two cases registered under terrorism provisions and two NAB cases in Golra police station and CTD in Islamabad.

Apart from this, there will also be a hearing on the petition against Imran Khan’s disqualification in the Tosha Khana case. A five-member larger bench headed by Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan will hear the petition of Imran Khan.

Imran Khan has challenged the disqualification measure in the Tosha case.
