Lahore: The Lahore High Court has reserved its decision on the petition filed for contempt of court proceedings against PML-N Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
In front of Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, the petition filed by Advocate Shahid Rana against Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz and others for contempt of court was heard, in which the petitioner took the stand that any matter , I take it seriously.
The petitioner’s lawyer told the court that Maryam Nawaz gave a speech in Sargodha and the matter falls under the jurisdiction of this court. Maryam Nawaz has insulted the court on 6 occasions. I did not make this request for my fame. We have to implement the law of contempt of court. In the petition, it was requested that the court should issue a show cause notice to Maryam Nawaz for contempt of court.
