Sri Lankan spinner Vinandu Hasaranga could not get NOC to participate in the Pakistan Super League, after which his chances of participating in the league have ended.
Hasaringa was drafted by Quetta Gladiators in platinum category for HBL PSL 8 and the franchise was hoping that he would join the team by today but due to the unavailability of Sri Lankan cricketer NOC. Couldn’t travel to Pakistan, these days he is busy playing first class cricket in Sri Lanka.
Franchise sources say they are aware of Hasaranga’s unavailability and various options are being considered, including the inclusion of a replacement player.
In this regard, PCB sources say that the Pakistan Cricket Board has informed Quetta Gladiators about the issue of Hasaranga, PCB was hoping for improvement in the matter, but the situation did not change until Monday night Their chances of participating in PSL are negligible.
It should be noted that earlier, Kusal Mendis of the Sri Lankan cricket team was also not given NOC to participate in PSL, due to which the Lahore Qalandars team had to pick Shay Hope instead of Mendis.
Sri Lankan Bhanuka Rajapakse has received NOC to participate in PSL and is currently in Pakistan to represent Peshawar Zalmi.
