Karachi: The issue of canceling the selection board for the appointment of teachers by the administration of the Federal Urdu University has taken a complicated situation and Anjuman Tragqi Urdu Pakistan has written a letter to the vice chancellor of the university Dr. Declaring the process as illegal, they have demanded the cancellation of these letters and action against those responsible.
It should be noted that on March 8, the acting registrar of the university issued three separate letters, canceling the decisions of the selection board during the tenure of former vice-chancellor Dr. Ziauddin. were broadcasted in the session of the Senate held on February 20.
The above decisions have been approved in the context of the report. It is being told that the minutes of the Senate meeting have not been released yet, nor was there a decision to annul the selection board on any such report in the Senate. In his letter sent to the Vice-Chancellor, he has confirmed this and said that he himself was present in the selection board meeting.
The letter further stated that no such decision was taken regarding the 47th Selection Board of 2017/2013 which is written in the letters issued by the University, as no report was made to the members in this regard, hence the decision. was postponed.
As proof of his claim, the President of Anjuman Taqrigh Urdu has further stated in the letter that he has sent 7 other senators (Shahid Shafiq, Shakeelur Rahman, Saeed Allahwala, Dr. Khalid Anees, Dr. Hama Baqai, Dr. Tanveer) who participated in the meeting. Khalid and Dr. Farhan Shafiq) have also taken their opinion in this regard and they have all taken the same stand that no such decision was taken in the Senate, so these letters have been wrongly issued and are against the rules, they should be canceled and the officials should be notified. If there is any legal complication or contempt of court due to these letters, then the responsibility will be on the registrar university.
It should be noted that the cancellation of the selection board and the situation arising from it has come to light at a time when the vice chancellor has been in Islamabad instead of the main campus of Karachi, which houses thousands of students and teachers and non-teaching staff for the past one week.
