Islamabad: After the allegations of Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chhata, the Deputy Returning Officers (DROs) of all the districts conducting the election under his administration have denied the allegations of rigging and said that we conducted the elections transparently and under the Election Act. and there was no pressure on us.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Saif Anwar Jhapa, who was appointed after Liaquat Ali Chatta’s allegations in Rawalpindi, held a press conference with DROs of all five districts at the DC office.
DRO Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema, DRO Chakwal Qaratul Ain, DRO Attock Rao Atif Raza also participated in the press conference.
New Commissioner of Rawalpindi Saif Anwar Jhapa said that DRO Jhelum Captain Sami is also with me, I have taken charge of Commissioner Pindi and the Commissioner has no role in the election except coordination.
Saif Anwar Jhapa said that the election 2024 was a transparent election, denying all the allegations of the former commissioner.
DRO Rawalpindi Hasan Waqar Cheema said that we have made the election transparent, we deny all allegations and demand investigation into all allegations.
DRO Attock Rao Atif said that we have made the elections transparent in Attock, there was no pressure on us.
DRO Jhelum Captain Sami said that as DRO Jhelum, I deny the allegations of the former commissioner, there was no pressure on us, we have conducted transparent elections on all the national and provincial assembly seats in Jhelum.
DRO Chakwal Qarat-ul-Ain also denied the allegations and said that we have conducted polling under the Election Act and Election Rules, we have conducted all elections in Chakwal by observing the oath.
He demanded that the allegations of former commissioner Rawalpindi should be fully investigated and the facts should be brought to light.
DRO Talagang Khawar Bashir said that we have made elections in Talagang clean and transparent, demanding an independent investigation into the allegations of the former commissioner.
DRO Chakwal said that we have conducted the elections under the Election Act, we have conducted all the elections for the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats in Chakwal following Khalaf.
