PTI protests outside Election Commission offices across the country, police lathi charge

Islamabad: After the announcement of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, protests are being held outside the Election Commission offices across the country, while in Rawalpindi, the police used lathis.

Rawalpindi Police has decided to stop the PTI protest at the police station level.

The office of the District Election Commission was sealed with a container while the main gate of the R-office established in the PHA office was closed.

The police started shelling outside the office of the District Election Commission, while the journalists were also tortured by the police, PTI workers were also arrested.

Supporters of the independent candidate are protesting outside the returning office of NA-77 in Gujranwala, where a heavy police force has cordoned off the RO office.

Protesters are raising slogans in favor of their candidate while slogans of “Sada Haq Athe Rakh” are being raised. The protesters alleged that the mandate of independent candidate Rashida Tariq was stolen. Due to the protest, Shaheenabad Road was closed for traffic.

Shahzad Farooq, a candidate from NA 119 in Lahore, has been detained by the police. The dharna of PTI workers is going on at Peshawar Motorway Toll Plaza.

Earlier, Barrister Gohar Khan said that the people of Pakistan have expressed full confidence in the vision of founder chairman Imran Khan to “no slavery”. has been given a clear and transparent mandate.

Chairman PTI said that instead of surrendering to the people’s decision, they are trying to steal their mandate through returning officers, killing democracy by illegally/reprehensible tampering with election results. Unacceptable efforts are being made.

Barrister Gohar Khan said that any such effort would be beneficial for the country, nor would the people disrespect their vote, while the Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s basic constitutional and constitutional requirements for government formation in the Center, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to getting clear majority. It is a democratic right.

Chairman PTI said that they will hold a strong but organized and peaceful protest today against the returning officers who changed the election results/ caused them illegal delay/ turned the clear victory of Tehreek-e-Insaaf into defeat.
