According to the spokesperson of CAA, there has been a record increase in the number of passengers using Islamabad International Airport, 6 million passengers used Islamabad Airport during the year 2023, this is the largest number of passengers using the airport after becoming operational.
According to the spokesperson of CAA, 1.5 lakh passengers passed through Islamabad airport through 11 thousand domestic flights, while 4.5 lakh passengers used the airport through 20 thousand international flights.
In total, Islamabad Airport handled 31,000 flights and more than 6 million passengers in 2023, with the number of visitors arriving at the airport at least three times the total number of passengers.
