Tehran: Iran’s foreign minister canceled his visit to India after being angered by a picture of anti-government protests in Iran being shown in an advertising video.

According to the international news agency, the image of the protest in Iran has been used in the promotion video of the event in which Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian was going to India.

In this photo, a woman cuts her hair in protest over the death of Iranian woman Mehsa Amini in police custody. This promotion photo went viral worldwide. This image lasted only two or three seconds in the video.

It should be noted that in September of last year, a young Kurdish girl, Mahsa Amini, was detained in Iran for not wearing hijab correctly, and the girl died during detention.

The death of Mahsa Amini sparked protests across the country that are still ongoing. More than 5,000 people, including 46 officers, have been killed in clashes between protesters and the police, while 5 protesters have been hanged.
