The head coach of Pakistani U-19 cricket team busy in Asia Cup, Mohammad Yusuf, has said that he is working on improving the basic skills of the batters.
The U-19 cricket team in Dubai got a big win against arch rivals India yesterday.
In a video shared on social media by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Muhammad Yusuf said that he is working on improving the basic skills of Pakistan U-19 batsmen.
He said that the player’s technique of playing short in the gap is being improved, the technique of using the feet of young batters is not correct.
The head coach added that this is the time to improve the technique of the young batsmen, usually the technique is not worked on at the junior level.
He said that as a head coach, my aim is to develop junior players, and accepted this position as a challenge.
Mohammad Yusuf also said that when a player goes to Pakistan team, it is difficult to improve the technique.
He said that there is a lack of back-fort and front-fort momentum among young batsmen, and told the junior players that they should not create a friendly environment with the opposing team before the match.
Headco said that if there will be a friendly atmosphere, how will aggression come in the match? The example of Australian cricketers is in front, there should be no friendship with the opposing team before the match.
