In the team event of the Asian Games Squash, India defeated Pakistan 1-2 after a thrilling contest, Pakistan won the silver medal in the event.
In the first match of the Asian Games squash team event final, Nasir Iqbal defeated the Indian opponent 0-3.
In the second set, Indian player Saru Ghoshal beat Mohammad Asim in straight sets, the deciding match for the gold medal was between Pakistan’s Noor Zaman and Abhay Singh.
Abhay Singh defeated Noor Zaman 7-11 in the first set, but Noor Zaman won the next 2 sets 9-11 and 8-11.
Noor Zaman was leading 7-9 in the third set as well, but Abhay Singh won the fourth set 9-11 to level the match.
In the fifth and deciding set, there was also a thrilling contest, Noor Zaman had won the match point but in the last set, Abhay Singh made a great comeback and won the match 10-12 to get the gold medal.
