The Special Representative of the Qatari Foreign Minister met with the Foreign Minister of the Taliban government during his visit to Kabul yesterday.
According to foreign news agency, Qatari foreign minister’s special representative Mutlaq bin Majid al-Qahtani met Afghan foreign minister Amir Khan Motaqi in Kabul.
Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said that the two leaders discussed political cooperation, bilateral relations and humanitarian aid.
It should be noted that in 2012, Qatar allowed the Taliban to open a political office, this office is still established and active.
Important leaders of the current Afghan government had meetings with the leaders of other Western and Islamic countries, including the United States, in the same office.
