Islamabad: Preparing to burden Safin with high electricity bills, Nepra has decided to increase the cost of electricity.
According to Express News, Nepra has issued a decision to increase the price of electricity under the monthly fuel adjustment. Under the monthly fuel adjustment of March, electricity rates will be increased by 79 paise per unit.
Consumers will have to make additional payments in their electricity bills, the increase will not be applicable to Lifeline and Elektrak customers.
Nepra has said in its decision that expensive electricity was generated in March from expensive power plants.
NEPRA has also sought a report from CPPANTDC.
