Half a century after NASA’s mission to send humans to the moon again, NASA has selected a woman astronaut to go to the moon for the first time.
According to the news agency, American astronaut Christina Koch is part of the four-member astronaut team of the Artemis-2 mission.
Christina Koch also holds the distinction of being the longest-serving woman in space.
For the first time, an African-American and Canadian astronaut has also been selected for the Artemis Two mission team.
NASA’s space mission will carry four astronauts to the moon early next year.
