Lahore: Senior Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and nominated Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has resigned from National Assembly Constituency NA-119.
According to party sources, Maryam Nawaz was elected Member of Punjab Assembly from National Assembly Constituency NA-119 and PP-159 from Lahore. Maryam Nawaz will take over as Chief Minister from the seat of PP 159.
Maryam Nawaz has sent a letter of withdrawal from NA 119 to the Election Commission, now the Election Commission will conduct by-elections on this seat.
Before the meeting of the Punjab Assembly, the meeting of the parliamentary party of Muslim League-N Punjab is going on, which is being chaired by the nominated Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.
